CASE STUDY 3
Hudson Valley Exposition
In 2013, due to economic challenges, the city of Peekskill, NY, discontinued its most popular community event, Peekskill Celebration. Three years later, it realized the city was in desperate need of a replacement event to bring the community together. The Hudson Valley Exposition idea was born.
The idea was to create a modern-day World’s Fair complete with artisans, green energy showcases and future innovations in technologies, child-learning experiences as well as farmer’s markets, food and drink vendors, river tours and capping the day off with an evening laser light show.
Our client wanted the look and feel of the campaign to capture the spirit of famous World’s Fair posters and graphics of the 40s, 50s and 60s. Our campaign included a new logo, event advertising across various mediums, all signage and event banners, staff t-shirts and various badges, passes and tickets. An event map was created to help navigate the large event landscape in addition to a website to promote sponsorship opportunities and inform the public. pak creative was awarded the Chairman’s Award in 2016
from the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce for our work on this campaign.
